Puerto Vallarta Dracula
The central-image Iris was taken from the sugar packets served at Barneys Beanery, and the series name “Dracula” arose when Robert Irwin, upon seeing one of Bengston’s works in progress, remarked that it looked like “Dracula coming through the window.” The name stuck, and Bengston continues painting Dracula to this day.
