Mark a former Actor ( Jesse in A Nightmare on Elm Street II and Joe Qualley, on Broadway and in The Robert Altman Film Come Back to the 5 and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean) Interior Designer ( New York, Palm Beach, Los Angeles), Hector hails from Mexico City with a Degree in Accounting and much business experience in Mexico decided to open a dream store. While shopping in Puerto Vallarta they began to realize that most of the items sold to tourist were being imported into Mexico, Cotton was being sold to India and it was harded to find truly unique gifts at an affordable price. Hence the dream and our store. We only buy from the Artist or craftsperson, we do not consign, we buy and help create new revenue streams for the people most at need, the worker. In certain cases we give micro loans or stipends, to begin a new company. Most of our Artist are Women with Children and we have never had a person fail to repay the loan. We give guidence, problem solving and most importly the freedom to create something new...to dare to take a chance on a old tradition turned into a new reality.

We have a beatiful line of handpainted purses, cluch bags, beach bags and pillows. Each piece is hand painted by Mark (Lalo) and made by a co op of Women from surrounding towns. Then women share and devide the work as they please, caring for their children and working as meets the need of the Co op. We are a fair trade company, 30 percent of the retail cost is paid to the workers, we provide Healthcare to those who work for us. The dollars are very small, but the heart of company is Big..we hope you enjoy what you see. If you are in Mexico comes see us.
